Caroline Francis is a fragrance house founded by a landscape architect. Every scent begins with a real place. A garden, a hillside, a forest floor, and the botanical knowledge that comes from over twenty years of designing how outdoor spaces look, feel, and smell. We make 100% paraffin free coconut soy candles and pure essential oil bath salts for people who believe that how a room smells is as important as how it looks. Where stillness lives.

Scent as Landscape
Most fragrances begin in a lab. Ours begin outside. Caroline spent over twenty years as a landscape architect learning how plants smell in the living world, how a balsam fir changes in cold air, how jasmine behaves next to certain herbs, how a California canyon releases its oils after dark. That knowledge is the foundation of every scent decision we make. Not trends. Not formulas. Decades of paying close attention to how the natural world actually smells.
The Case for Stillness
We live in a culture that rewards being busy. That treats stillness as something to be earned rather than something to be practiced. We disagree. Lighting a candle is a small act of resistance. A deliberate choice to stop, to be present, to notice where you are and what surrounds you. We make candles for that moment. Not for decoration. For the practice of being here.
Nothing Hidden
Paraffin free coconut soy wax. Pure essential oil bath salts. IFRA compliant fragrance oils. Cotton wicks. FSC certified packaging. We made these choices because we believe what goes into a candle matters as much as what comes out of it. No synthetic fillers, no additives, no shortcuts. Just clean ingredients and the knowledge to use them well.
